What does a wedding planner do?

A wedding planner is an expert in designing, planning and coordinating the wedding day, with all its particularities and challenges, being responsible for ensuring your wedding’s success. To give you an idea, this is the outline of what a Wedding Planner does:

  • I. Ceremony Inform you of all the necessary documents, timings and processes. Assistance through the process.

  • II. Venues & Catering Proposal presentation of the best venues for your wedding, based on your preferences and requirements. Visit the venues. You make the final call!

  • III. Decoration & Lighting After selecting the venue, we will send you a large selection of different décor options to help you envision the overall design concept. We will ask you to send us pictures of décor/flowers and other items that you LOVE. We will narrow down the options together, so that when you visit Portugal, we can finalise these details by visiting a showroom specially prepared for you.

 
  • IV. Photography & Video We can recommend the best professionals in the field and book meetings for you to meet them and select your favourite.

  • V. Entertainment & Music We can recommend the best musicians, DJ’s, bands and entertainers, and help you set the perfect atmosphere.

  • VI. Gifts & Stationery We can suggest gifts for your guests and/or stationery that match the design concept set for your Wedding.

  • VII. Make-Up & Hair We work with great make-up artists and hairdressers, so we can recommend the best!

  • VIII. Accommodation & Transportation Through our Travel Agency we can take care of all the necessary arrangements relating to accommodation, transfers and leisure activities. We will provide a dedicated reservations line for both you and your guests to take care of everything in a smooth and efficient way.

  • IX. Pre/Post Wedding Events If you are considering a pre and/or post-wedding event, we will be pleased to make suggestions.

  • XI. What kind of Weddings do you do? We do all sort of Weddings. Civil, catholic and gay ceremonies as well as vow renewals and even blessings. We adapt the ceremony to the couple, not the other way around. We have an extensive contact list of priests from different countries; we have even done ceremonies in two languages. We are delighted to work with so many different cultures and are privildged to have been chosen to organise, for example: traditional Celtic weddings, Arabic Weddings, Russian weddings and Indian weddings.

  • XII. Why should I pay a person to do my wedding planning? A wedding is a very challenging event to plan single-handedly, especially with no previous experience. There are hundreds of details that a person has to think about, coordinate and anticipate, and lots of big decisions to be made along the process.     Besides the whole planning process, a wedding planner is also the person that it will be at the site, on the very day, overseeing and coordinating the set-ups, the catering, the decoration, etc., making sure that everything is on time and spotless, at the right time. We are the interface between you and the suppliers throughout the entire wedding day, so coordinating photographers, videographers, flowers, the priest, entertainment, etc., is handled entirely by us.
